Causes Of Permanent Stiff Neck

Bokungu ... nice to get to business!

Bokungu is 1700 km from the capital Kinshasa. The only way to get here is to fly to Mbandaka, capital of province that lies west of Bokungu, and then travel 750 km on the river Tshuapa: 4-day trip (except for complications) and $ 5,000 of fuel. The river route is passable throughout the year. The goods instead travel by river from Kinshasa to Mbandaka on the Congo River (750 km) and then from Mbandaka to Bokungu (700 Km) via Boende. The road that connects from Boende Bokungu (200 km) is a small dirt road passable only with ill-4x4 and motorbikes. To make this process serves an entire day. And as you can see from the picture, the problems are on the agenda.

Once a week you can catch a plane to Kinshasa and Mbandaka. Each parish has a landing field, Erdei Austrian missionaries, evangelists of the first area, which made use of small aircraft for domestic travel.
Unless you are deterred by these difficulties and want to come and learn all about the territory of Bokungui-Ikelite you're welcome. The people are friendly and hospitable, and every opportunity we can to make merry!
